Wildfire News and Shipping Updates

News from Southern Oregon

I’m sure you’ve seen the news: in recent days, wildfires have devastated large portions of our region. Over 2,350 families in Southern Oregon and counting – including several of our team members – have lost their homes to fire in the past week.

The good news is that Rogue Creamery has been fortunate: for now, our cows are safe and our facilities have been spared. But our hearts ache for all those in our community who have lost everything. And as fires continue to blaze uncontrolled, the risk to everyone’s safety is still very real.

How You Can Help

Rogue Creamery is developing a fundraising campaign to support those who have lost their homes and livelihoods due to the fire. Please check back soon for more about how you can support our team members and neighbors who are in need.

To make an immediate impact, we suggest donating to the United Way of Jackson County Fire Fund and/or ACCESS.

Shipping Update

Our team at Rogue Creamery has made the difficult decision to delay all orders that were scheduled to ship 9/10 – 9/17. If this impacts you and your order, we apologize for the inconvenience this delay may cause you, and will be in touch soon via email with more information about when your cheese will ship.

We are committed to getting your order to you in good condition so that you can enjoy it to the fullest.

A significant number of customers have already asked us to delay their shipments because their lives have been upended in recent days. Additionally, there is a high potential of shipping delays that is beyond our control: distribution across the USA for packages coming out of Oregon has been greatly impacted by these fires. Neither FedEx nor UPS is offering any guarantees or money back if packages do not arrive on time. And due to the perishable nature of our cheese, we will not ship packages if they have a very good chance of spoiling due to delays in transit.
