Why Doesn't My Blue Cheese Have Much 'Blue' In It?

Don’t see much ‘blue’ in your blue cheese? It probably just needs to re-oxygenate. Let it sit open at room temperature for an hour, and the ‘blue’ should appear.

What's The Liquid On The Outside Of My Cheese

No need to worry-it’s common for naturally aged cheeses to develop a small amount of moisture inside their packaging and is common in our blue cheeses. The liquid on the outside of your cheese is just excess moisture, or liquid whey. Simply blot your cheese with a paper towel and enjoy.

What Is The Pink Hue Towards The Rind On Rogue River Blue?

The pink hue around the rind is a natural byproduct of the pear spirits in which the grape leaves are soaked. It is perfectly normal and fine to consume.

Is Mold On Cheese Normal?

Exposure to air causes cheese to mold. Most molds are harmless – if a spot of green, grey or white mold appears on the surface of your cheese, simply shave it off and enjoy the remainder.

Can You Freeze Cheese?

We do not recommend freezing our cheese. Freezing blue and cheddar cheeses changes their texture as well as flavor. If you do freeze cheese, cook with it rather than serve it as is.

What If Hard Cheese Dries Out Too Much?

Sometimes hard cheeses can become dry and cracked if forgotten for too long. They haven’t gone bad so grate them on something if they still have a pleasant taste.

Should I Serve Cheese Cold?

Cheese is best served at room temperature. Pull your cheese out of the refrigerator and unwrap it 30 minutes before serving to help soften the texture and bring out its aroma and flavors.

How Long Does Cheese Last?

Our cheddar cheeses have a 1 year best by date while our blue cheeses have a 6-month best by date. If stored properly, your cheese should last 4 weeks after opened.

How Long Should I Store Cheese?

Let the cheese breathe! Storing cheese directly in plastic wrap will suffocate the cheese. Instead, wrap it in cheese paper, wax paper or parchment paper. Store paper wrapped pieces of cheese in a plastic bag or tub in your refrigerator to minimize temperature fluctuation and moisture loss.

Can I still Eat My Cheese If It Arrives Late?

Our carriers make every effort to deliver packages on time – but due to high volumes, they cannot guarantee packages will arrive within 1 or 2 days as requested. We have taken every step possible to ensure that the contents of your shipment stay cool for up to 3 days. If your package does arrive late, please accept the package and check the contents. If the cheese is warm to the touch, please discard the cheeses and Contact Us Link contact us .

How Do I Check The Status Of My Order?

When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 24 hours for the tracking information to become available. If you haven’t received your order within 4 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please Contact Us Link contact us .

How do Refunds, Returns, And Exchanges Work?

Do to the nature of our products, we are not able to receive returns. Any packages attempting to be returned will be refused and returned to the sender. In the event that your order arrives bad or damaged, please Contact Us Link contact us with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. We address these on a case-by-case basis but will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution. Please note: If you refuse a delivery, we will not be able to provide a refund or replacement for your order.

Do you offer international shipping?

At this time, we only ship throughout the USA.

I Can't Select My Preferred Shipping Date. What Do I Do?

If you need to order cheese urgently and cannot select your preferred shipping date, Contact Us Link contact us by phone. We address these instances on a case-by-case basis, and will do our best to work with you to get your cheese to you in time! This option is not available during the months of November - December.

Can I Choose When My Cheese Club Box Will Ship?

Cheese Club Boxes ship on set dates each season to ensure availability of limited release and exclusive products. Contact us at least 7 days before the ship date of your Box if you’d like to arrange a different shipping date. If you contact us less than 7 days before the ship date, we can’t guarantee we’ll be able to accommodate your request.

Can I Add Items To My Cheese Club Box?

Unfortunately, no – we are not able to accommodate additions to Cheese Club Boxes at this time. You will need to place a separate order.

Can I Substitute An Item In My Cheese Box?

What's Included In A Cheese Club Box?

Cheese Club Boxes contain seasonal and limited edition offerings curated by Rogue Creamery’s cheese experts – each box will be different from the last, but you’ll always receive a variety of cheese, plus other accompaniments and surprises.

How Long is a Cheese Club Subscription?

Cheese Club subscriptions are indefinite until members choose to pause or unsubscribe. They include one seasonally curated box every 3 months. Subscriptions will auto renew after each quarter.
