The Story Behind the Cheese
The Story of Cheese Is Love Cheddar
Cheese Is Love was born out of our deep commitment to our community. In the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic, thousands of families in Southern Oregon lost their homes and livelihoods in the 2020 Almeda Fire. We are here to help – and for many months, Rogue Creamery donated thousands of pounds of cheese to non-profits and food banks. But as a small, artisan cheese company, we needed a way to keep up with demand. So that’s when we created Cheese is Love, an extra-aged cheddar that gives you the chance to give back with us. For every block of Cheese Is Love you purchase, we’ll give the same amount to those in need. We donate cheese every few weeks to local nonprofit ACCESS, who then distributes it to local pantries and pickup points. By choosing Cheese Is Love, you’re making a difference in the lives of countless families in our community!
