Inspired by a sense of place for over 90 years, Rogue Creamery draws from the beauty and flavors of Southern Oregon's Rogue River Valley to create cheeses that have won international acclaim. But creating the world's best cheese is only part of our mission. We know that business can be used as a force for good. That's why we became Oregon's first public benefit corporation, "B Corp" for short, joining a global movement of companies that are committed to making the world a better place.

At Rogue Creamery, we aim to create more than delicious cheese. We're helping to build a strong regional food network and champion sustainable, local food initiatives:
  • Supporting local businesses and farmers through responsible sourcing
  • Donating cheese to area nonprofits and food banks to provide natural, nutrient-rich sustenance to the underprivileged
  • Pursuing efforts aimed at reducing our environmental impact, such as our water conservation, recycling, and clean energy initiatives

USDA Certified Organic Seal

Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth

In 2016, Rogue Creamery's facility and products became USDA Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth. Many of our cheeses proudly bear the Organic seal because they are made with 100% organic ingredients.

This certification verifies that we adhere to the highest standards of quality, producing cheese that’s good for both people and planet. This includes:
  • Promoting soil health and biodiversity
  • Preserving native crop varieties to maintain healthy ecosystems
  • Reducing exposure to pesticides, growth hormones, and antibiotics
  • Improving water quality
  • Healthy working environments for farm workers and our rural neighbors
  • The best protection against GMO’s
  • Supporting ethical stewardship of farmland and livestock
  • Prioritizing animal health and welfare

Sustainability At Heart

Our dedication to sustainability is woven into everything we do. From utilizing milk from local dairies to implementing eco-friendly practices in our production processes, we aim to ensure that our environmental footprint is as minimal as possible.

At our cheesemaking facility, warehouse, and Cheese Shop, we strive to implement more environmentally sustainable ways to create and consume.
  • Water conservation measures and water-wise landscaping to help us exceed our annual water reduction goals. In 2025 we reduced our annual water consumption by over 8%!
  • Recycling programs such as providing food waste to local pig farms and cardboard to landscaping businesses and gardening clubs for use as a weed suppressant.
  • Clean energy: our solar panels produce approximately 20% of our total energy consumption each year.

Committed to Animal Welfare

Rogue Creamery only purchases milk from regional Dairy Farms that are certified through the national FARM program: Farmers Assuring Responsible Management.

This certification ensures that our partner dairy farmers meet high standards for animal care, environmental stewardship, and quality assurance. It focuses on these five key areas to promote sustainable, ethical dairy production:
  • Animal Care: Promotes comprehensive, science-based dairy cattle care, including training for employees and on-farm evaluations.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Helps producers evaluate and track greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, energy usage, and nutrient management to improve sustainability.
  • Antibiotic Stewardship: Focuses on the proper, veterinarian-guided use of antibiotics to maintain animal health while protecting milk quality and safety.
  • Biosecurity: Focuses on safeguarding herd and employee health.
  • Workforce Development: Ensures that farm employees are properly trained to manage animal care and safety.
